Radiologist report
Normal heart size & mediastinal contour. No pleural effusion or pneumothorax observed. Suspicious pulmonary nodule in right upper lobe measuring ~1.5cm in diameter. No other focal lung opacities observed. Visualized osseous structures of the thorax are intact w/o acute fracture. Unremarkable soft tissue structures of the chest wall. No add'l abnormalities.
Impression: CXR revealed suspicious pulmonary nodule in right upper lobe which warrants further investigation for potential malignancy. CT scan recommended for better characterization.

XLay simplified report
Everything is generally normal except for one important detail: a small abnormal spot, or 'nodule', in the upper right part of your lung, which is ~1.5cm or half an inch. It's very important to remember that this nodule may not be serious. However, given a small chance of cancer, it's important to get additional testing. The radiologist recommends a computed tomography (CT) scan, which is a non-intrusive imaging technique that uses X-rays to create detailed pictures of the inside of your chest.
